How We Work
We enjoy and put special value on face to face meetings and review of projects desired. Once our relationship is established, we will use phone, email, internet to stay in constant communication with our clients.
Getting started
You’ll see us at least twice before contracting with JCK Services. Before the first meeting we will email a questionnaire for you to complete, so that we can come into that meeting knowing some basics about your business, the types of services you anticipate needing, and the accounting system and specific software products you use.
At the second meeting we will discuss possible work schedules and get your agreement to a schedule meets your needs.
JCK Services can work with you on any agreed schedule, and at your location or ours. Four of the most typical working arrangements are shown below. Is one of them perfect for you, or can we tailor the relationship to you in some other way?
Weekly, at your site
This is the working relationship that comes closest to having us as an additional member of your staff. For complex businesses where working closely with you gets questions answered promptly, and where cash flow is high or has lots of variation from period to period. |
Monthly, at your site
For larger companies, and when JCK Services is the bookkeeping partner for a full-time office manager who is not a professional bookkeeper, regularly scheduled monthly meetings to review transactions and status can avoid most problems and quickly solve those that are identified. |
Weekly, at our site
For businesses with lots of customers, but where office space at your location is tight, we can work with you via phone, overnight express, and electronic mail, so that you get responsive service and information for financial decisions, without reserving desk space for us. |
Monthly, at our site
This is the least expensive of the four working arrangements shown here, and the most appropriate for individual non-commercial clients with stable financial situations. Typically a face-to-face site visit would be scheduled and priced into the relationship at least annually, if not quarterly, for tax planning purposes. |
